The Johor royal family has always been much loved by Johoreans. However, more and more Malaysians from other states have been adoring the southern royal family too.
To add to the love of these people, the Johor Sultan even gave a very special gift, Free Malaysia Today reported.
This gift of a low-cost housing scheme will be given in conjunction with the upcoming coronation day on March 23, 2017.
Sultan Ibramin stated that the freehold scheme is first of its kind and will be built in Bandar Dato Onn under the Yayasan Sultan Ibramin’s supervision.
They will also work with Bank Rakyat to offer different kinds of residential real estate, shop houses and even other kinds of commercial units.
However, the Sultan has yet to give out more information regarding this project and the Sultan wishes the rakyat to attend the Galleria Kota Raya on March 22, 2017 for the launch of the project.
In a statement released by the Royal Johor Media Office, the Sultan said,
“It is open to all eligible Johor citizens. But the process of choosing will be strict and thorough.
“The applicant who were chosen will only need to pay RM1 as deposit and they will be offered full loan with a simple repayment scheme.”
The Sultan hopes that this project can greatly impact the local housing estate which would ultimately force the private developers to lower down the cost of homes.
“We must ensure that homes can be afforded by everyone. The price now is out of the means of those who are middle income.”
Preaachhhh!
Of course Johoreans were overjoyed by this news, but funnily enough so were most of Malaysians from other states. Netizens from all over the nation rained in praises for the Sultan.
“I love you my beloved Sultan! Thank you for this. Really need a house for my own family.”
“Sultan of Johor is really cool. If only everyone else could offer great schemes like this, perhaps the rate of homeless people will drop.”
Truly, the King of Johor is the best. Daulat Tuanku!
