Driving down the roads by the sunny beaches on the way to Cherating or taking in the city at night while driving through Kuala Lumpur are just some soul-enriching experiences that a driving licence would enable.

But how much will it cost? Taking to Twitter, this netizen mentions that the price is just too expensive. Here is his rant.

“I have always wondered, why are Malaysian driver’s licenses are so expensive that it can set you back as much as RM1,300?”

“If driver’s licenses are basic necessities and if you want drivers to drive safely instead of trying to make profit, it should not be that expensive.”

Comparing the price of a Malaysian driver’s license, it was shocking to find out the prices are much cheaper elsewhere.

Others added on the hurt.

“Licenses are expensive. Cars are expensive, but public transportation is less than impressive.”

“Taxis are also expensive, e-hailing is also no different. I guess the government wants us to walk.”
