Taking to Twitter, netizen @HezeriSamsuri shared his experience having met a convoy of amphibian 8×8 AV-8 Gempita AIFV on its way back from Pahang.

In his tweet he wrote: “I met this group at an RnR as they were making their way back from training with the Kopassis in Pekan, Pahang. They were on their way back to Sg Petani, Kedah.

“They told me that the driver of this vehicle will only be able to see from five metres at the tip of the vehicle, so be careful if you want to cut lanes in front of the Gempita because of that blind spot.”

Hilariously, people commenting on the tweet began asking a lot of questions about the vehicle.

“Does it come with air-conditioning?”

To this @HezeriSamsuri replied: “Yes, it does come with air-conditioning. According to the army personnel, it is actually cold on the inside.”

Being a car reviewer, many have also asked @HezeriSamsuri to review the Gempita, to which he responded that he would need to ask permission from MINDEF.

Another netizen shared a video of the Gempita making its way to Sg Petani, adding that personnel can be seen waving and saluting members of the public.

Cool beans!

In the remainder of his tweet, @HezeriSamsuri advises the public to just drop by and say hi to them.

“If you see them, just drop by, say hi and thank them for serving the country.”

“They’ve sacrificed so much for us. Thank you perajurit!”
