This Malaysia family’s trip to explore the sea breeze and nature greeneries at Tanjung in Muar, Johor ran into unexpected trouble after they were ‘robbed’ by a group of monkeys.
Well, it was mostly one adult monkey, which grabbed hold of a pink backpack belonging to TikTok user @ellimannaura‘s young daughter and ransacked it in search of food.
@ellimannaura shared the incident in a series of 5 videos on the platform, with the most popular video of the 5 garnering over 4.1 million views as of the time of writing.

In the first video, @ellimannaura shared how excited her young daughter was to participate in the walking trip to Tanjung, which was also joined by her grandmother.
The video cutely showed the little girl with her pink Hello Kitty backpack as she walked through the mangrove area. However, the twist came at the end of the video, as @ellimannaura alluded to their group’s encounter with the monkeys.

The 2nd and 3rd videos showed the monkeys in action, with one adult monkey shown holding the pink backpack and ransacking it for any food items, only to find mostly diapers and spare clothes.
However, the monkey did hilariously find the little girl’s baby bottle and cleverly used it to drink the milk.

The 4th video is basically just the full video with its original sound, through which we can hear @ellimannaura and another individual urging the monkey to give back the backpack. The family can also be seen trying to snatch the backpack away from the monkey several times but failing.

Meanwhile, the 5th video shows the aftermath of the encounter with the monkeys, with the family managing to get back the backpack, though it has a large tear on it.

Well, at least they got the backpack back! Based on the captions, the family seems to find the encounter with the monkeys as being hilarious, though we’re not too sure what the little girl thinks about it. Regardless, it’s definitely something she’ll remember for a long time!
