Less than a year after getting in business, MyAirline has suspended all operations effective today (October 12) until further notice.

In a statement released on its socials and TikTok this morning, MyAirline revealed that significant financial pressures have caused the organisation to take the drastic step, which they dubbed an “extremely painful decision.”

“We deeply regret and apologise for having to make this decision as we understand the impact it will have on our loyal passengers, dedicated employees and partners.”

The board of directors for MyAirline also said they have worked tirelessly to explore multiple partnerships and capital-raising options to avoid this suspension but to no avail.

“Unfortunately, the constraints of time have left us with no alternative but to take this decision.”

The suspension has no doubt affected many passengers who have had their travels scheduled on respective days. For that, MyAirline assured the public that it would be committed to assisting those impacted by the situation. However, there is one thing that the affected customers shouldn’t do.

“We are advising affected passengers to not head to the airport and seek for alternative travel arrangements to their destinations.”

MYAirline also said the board, shareholders and MYAirline will work tirelessly to resume operations as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, at this stage, the airline is unable to commit to any timeline.

“We extend our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused. We will do our utmost to provide any updates which become available.”
