The love of a parent can go above and beyond simply loving their children. As parents are often the sole providers for their children, most parents are tasked with the difficult job of earning money to feed their kids as well as look after them in general.

Recently, a heartbreaking video of a cobbler in Johor went viral on social media. In the video, the cobbler who is the father of 4 children had brought along his kids with him to his shoe repair stall outside of a bank branch in Johor Jaya.

The father can be seen holding on to a baby whilst his 3 other children sat on chairs and the floor of his shoe repair stall.

In the text in the video, it is said that the father opens up his service every Saturday. The person recording the video urged Malaysians to come support the responsible father by visiting him and paying for his services.

In the caption of a post that had shared the video, it is claimed that the father is a single father as he has separated from the mother of the kids.

Rallying for support

Although it is unknown where the video was originally shared, it has since made its way to Twitter where netizens rallied to offer the father some support.

“Anyone that is in Johor, please support him.”

“This is one example of proving that Superman really exists in this world. I hope that his kids will grow up to become successful,” commented a netizen.

Meanwhile, plenty of Malaysians took to the comments section to tag respective politicians and urge them to help the father.

“Let’s all tag them and hope that they it reaches them so that we can help support this family.”

One user tagged Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim and urged him to look into it. Sim responded to the netizen by stating that his colleagues in the area will visit them and see what can be done to assist the family.
