There’s nothing wrong about doing modifications to your vehicle, as for most motor vehicle enthusiasts, the standard cookie-cutter build from manufacturers just doesn’t align with their preferences.

However, it’s important to adhere to the relevant laws and regulations when making modifications as they are in place to ensure the safety of the driver and other road users.

In the X post’s replies, many Malaysians criticise the SUV owner for the blinding rear light which endangers other road users.

One netizen that this was one of the few times where a road user is ‘allowed’ to continuously turn on their high-beam. Meanwhile, another commenter said that the spotlight can cause migraine for other road users.

Besides that, a netizen claimed that the spotlight is used to avoid the plate number being detected by AES speed cameras. Another said that the owner may have wrongly attached the spotlight to the rear lamps instead of to the reverse light.
