Have you seen a petition being signed this fast before?!

When it comes down to the fate of your own country, you can only imagine how that’s possible. And might we add it’s super heartwarming!

A petition that was started by Dato’ Brian Jit Singh quickly gained participation from fellow Malaysians, so much so that they got their first 30k signatures within an hour! What’s more incredible is that, for the next 30 minutes, the numbers spiked tremendously to 200,000! Wowda!

The petition is titled: Petition to the Rulers of Malaysia to Endorse Pakatan Harapan Government

The body reads:

“Due to the resounding victory by Pakatan Harapan, the clear majority voice of the Rakyat and the need to promptly declare a Government for Malaysia for continued management of the Country without interruption, we pray for the only right action to be carried out by our Rulers.”

This petition came to light after coalition Pakatan Harapan won a majority of the parliamentary seats, but the coalition itself was not registered. Hence, the technicality that there is no simple majority won by any parties arose.

This matter is troubling citizens after an announcement from Najib Razak stating that the Agung will still have to decide whether the votes during GE14 are clear, only then will a new PM be sworn in.

As many Malaysians are worried that the Agung may choose another candidate other than Dr. M, everyone joined a movement to have their voices heard through this petition.
