Yet another upside-down Jalur Gemilang was spotted in Malaysia, and this time, it involved an Indian restaurant in Kuala Lumpur.

A viral TikTok post by@muhdfaiqzulhilmi yesterday (August 25) shows the Malaysian flag being displayed in an incorrect position outside a restaurant on the second floor, just above a bar.

Yet another upside-down Jalur Gemilang spotted, this time at a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Many social media users initially thought the upside-down Jalur Gemilang belonged to the bar, but after monitoring closely, the flag was actually displayed outside the Indian restaurant on the level above.

This latest incident comes less than a week before Malaysia’s 68th anniversary, and over the past few weeks, many Malaysians, including the UMNO Youth Chief, have called out those who hoisted the Jalur Gemilang in an inaccurate position.

WORLD OF BUZZ has reached out to Faiq for more information on the sighting, but has yet to receive a response. At the time of writing (August 26), the said restaurant has not responded to the matter.

“This can’t be unintentional!”

Malaysian social media users, on the other hand, refused to accept the similar blunder, and many believed that it was done on purpose. Many urged for stricter actions from the authorities and government, and want the relevant authorities to take the matter seriously.

“A mere reminder won’t work. This is obviously done on purpose. Dear Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), there must be something you can do, according to the law. Where are the authorities? We would be blamed if we took matters into our hands.”

“This is getting too much. We could’ve turned a blind eye if it happened once, but not when too many people are exhibiting their stupidity, and there must be something wrong somewhere, including the school. No mere apology. Come on, government! Take this seriously!”

What do you think of yet another mistake involving the Malaysian flag?
