The floods have taken a lot from the people affected by it. Loved ones, homes, livelihoods and more have been lost.

While many survived this ordeal, their losses are still something they have to endure.

The Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia – UKM Facebook page shared an image of a young boy who had been rescued from the floods in Hulu Langat. The poor boy can be seen sobbing uncontrollably, saddened by the difficulties he has to face.

They wrote, “This 12-year-old child’s home is among those severely affected in Hulu Langat. His aunt, who stays with him, is a UKM staff member.”

Before the UKM volunteers returned home, the boy suddenly started crying. Perhaps he thought about the state of his flooded house. UKM prays for the best, for all those involved in the flood disaster. InshaAllah, we will help whoever we can.”

Netizens felt the boy’s pain and took to the comments to share well wishes.

“Ya Allah, so saddening.”

“When we were cleaning this boy’s house, he was looking for pictures of his preschool graduation. Alhamdulillah, he found them. Heartbreaking to see.”

Kid 5

“May Allah provide sustenance to this boy and his family. Replace (everything) with better things.”

Kid 6

“Allahu, we are crying along with him. May Allah replace and multiply the livelihoods of this boy and his family.”

Perhaps the whole situation of being rescued and surviving the flood was too overwhelming for the poor child, especially after he had to watch his things get washed away in the muddy waters.

During times like these, we should consider how the children are feeling, having to endure such hardships.

We genuinely hope that the boy and his family manage to rebuild their lives. And a huge kudos to the volunteers who were there to help and comfort the boy during these tough times.

Share you well wishes for the victims of the floods in the comment section.
