Having children is a big responsibility, but we as human beings also have a responsibility to do the right thing when we come across someone else’s child doing something wrong.

Case in point, a random child was seen playing underneath a large trailer stopped at a traffic light in Bandar Sri Perdana, Sabah.

The Inforoadblock Facebook page shared the video in an effort to create awareness over road safety, especially considering how risky the child’s actions are. With one wrong move, the child could get seriously injured or even killed.

Record 4

And while the child’s parents were no where to be seen and it is uncertain as to where she even came from in the first place, Malaysians were sure of one thing:

The person recording the incident should have put their phone down and approached the little girl!

Record 1

“The person recording is stupid too. Go talk to her.”

Record 2

“Merely record until the girl gets injured. What kind of human.”

Record 3

“What is the person watching doing? The lorry isn’t moving, right? Go and ask the child why she is sitting under the lorry. Aduhaii, just watching only.”

While the person recording may have found it inconvenient or uncomfortable to approach a random child, most of the time doing the right thing isn’t easy. But, it’s still the right thing to do.

We genuinely hope that the child is okay and is safely back with her parents. And to everyone out there, please do consider putting your phone down and helping out when the situation calls for it.

You can watch the concerning video here.

Would you have approached the girl should you be in the recorder’s shoes? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
