Duyong State Assembly Member (ADUN), Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy Abd Halem, has always been known to be active in helping those within his constituency.
And now, someone he’s helped tremendously has stepped forward to not only praise the ADUN but also cry tears of appreciation for the ADUN for treating her like a normal person when many within her community saw her as a ‘crazy person’.
Nor Komariah Mohd Khalidlourdes Lio, affectionately known as Dak Nor to the ADUN, appeared with him on Malaysia Gazette’s YouTube channel to share her experiences and how Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy has helped her become a valued member of her community in Melaka after they had previously treated her badly due to her antics.
Malaysia Gazette wrote, “Nor Komariah Mohd Khalidlourdes Lio, better known as Dak Nor, is grateful for the earnestness of Duyong assemblyman, Datuk Mohd Helmy Abdul Halem who is willing to help to live like other normal people.”
In the video, Dak Nor could be seen crying as she shared her appreciation for Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy.
“I feel grateful because I’ve never met anyone like YB. Normally people look at me, they don’t care about me. And when they look at me, they call me ‘budak gila‘ (crazy kid). But, YB does not look at me like I’m crazy, YB helped to heal me,”
“I enjoy myself, I feel grateful, I feel Allah is great for introducing me to a person who is fierce, YB really is fierce but his heart is pure. His heart is pure. I’ve never met anyone like this,” she said as Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy sat next to her and smiled at her words.
Prior to this, Dak Nor apparently used to often get into trouble and would always get chased away by people within her community. She was even once arrested for allegedly disturbing the peace at a mosque.
Thanks to the ADUN, she now has a job at the mosque and she has healed from her issues.
