Man wins millions after persistently betting on old plate numbers for 10 years

The lucky winner revealed that he had been consistently betting on the same pair of numbers, 9186 and 4828, which were once his old car’s licence plate numbers.

He described the numbers as more than just digits, saying they were like “time codes” tied to his memories, according to 8TV News.

“I’ve been playing these two numbers for over 10 years, just because I missed my old car. I never thought they would both win together,” he said.

He also admitted that he used to be sceptical whenever he saw stories of people becoming instant millionaires overnight until he found himself becoming part of one.

He only placed a bet of RM6

The Selangor property manager placed only RM6 in total bets this time but walked away with RM14,818,901.35 plus an additional RM336 bonus, collecting his winnings at the Sports Toto Malaysia Gaming headquarters.

As for his future plans, he said he will manage his finances carefully and plans to buy a luxury car and invest in property to ensure long-term financial stability.

“Until this time, when I became part of the story myself, I realised miracles really can happen,” he said.
