The flash floods which hit most of the country recently have resulted in people losing a lot of their personal belongings. However, the good news is that things such as school textbooks, ICs and passports and driving licences are free to replace.
Less than a month ago, there was a lady who lost her brand new car due to the flash floods. Despite the obviously sad news, she warmed the hearts of Malaysians with her positivity and spirit.
It seems that what goes around, really comes back around, as it was recently reported that car e-commerce platform Carsome, has offered to give her a brand new car!
A TikTok post by SelangorTV captured the heartwarming moment.
Nuarjan Sulaiman told SelangorTV that she was extremely happy and grateful to Carsome for giving her and her family a car.
“I haven’t told my kids yet but they will be delighted. I still can’t believe that someone would just give me a car. I’m so grateful but sad at the same time.”
“I would like to also express my gratitude to the public for their endless support and prayers for me and my family,” she added.
Carsome and netizens praise her positivity
The TikTok video has garnered over 265,800 views and 21,500 likes. Users took to the comments section to express their joy towards Nuarjan and to also praise Carsome for their selfless act.
“These are the type of people we need to help as it would be a struggle for them to afford it,” said a user.
Another user commented, ” I like her cause despite facing a disaster, she is still able to laugh.”
Even Carsome themselves have commented on the video! They wrote, “We hope that whatever help that has been given to you will help to relieve some of the burdens you face due to the floods.”
