A thief was caught red-handed on video when his thieving was accidentally recorded by a vlogger, nearby the Sogo area.

The 55-second video witnessed a lady crossing the street in front of the Sogo building in the Kuala Lumpur city centre as she becomes a victim when a motorcyclist swoops in and snatches her necklace.

The 55-second video went viral with over 2.1k likes and 11k shares.

Imran adds that he only realised he recorded the robbery in the afternoon of the incident, but when he did, the video was submitted to the Dang Wangi Police Station.

“I was shocked to find that my video received 30,000 shares on Facebook and Youtube. Based on the response I got, many are more than willing to step up and help the victim. I am also more than willing to share my video with the victim if need be.”

We sincerely hope that the culprit is caught and that his eventual arrest will hinder others from victimising members of the public for the sake of making a quick buck!
