In a recent video shared by @nithiyaraviii, CCTV footage reveals a deeply unsettling experience she endured while using a public toilet at a mart.

The footage shows a random uncle lingering in front of the restroom as Nithiya was showering in the bathroom at her workplace in Bukit Bintang.

He was peeking into the toilet

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Nithiya shared that she was working part-time at the mart and would always shower and change clothes there before heading to her next job.

In the video, the uncle is seen trying to peek into the toilet and open the bathroom door. She explained that the man works there as a maintenance worker.

“I told him to wait while I was in the toilet, but he didn’t listen and kept trying to push the door and tried to peek,” Nithiya recounted.

Workers are allowed to shower in the toilet

Based on the police report, after Nithiya came out of the toilet, she told the uncle that he shouldn’t have been trying to open the door while she was showering. In response, the uncle scolded her, saying she shouldn’t have been showering there in the 1st place.

Nithiya clarified that the toilet is actually available for workers to use, including for showering.

Following the incident, she reviewed the CCTV footage and discovered that the uncle had indeed been peeking and attempting to forcefully open the door.

“I’m worried about my safety”

Nithiya went on to explain that she wasn’t sure if the uncle actually saw her while she was showering, but despite knowing she was in the toilet, he still tried to open the door even though she told him not to.

She added that she filed a police report out of concern for her safety.

After filing the report, she texted a police officer to inquire about the status of her case and what actions had been taken against the uncle. The police informed her that the uncle would have to pay a fine in court.

“The best protection any woman can have is courage. Be brave.”
