Having kids can sometimes be a very stressful and all-consuming task. But one can’t deny that the sheer entertainment one receives by having a child can also make for some pretty humorous and interesting situations every once in a while.
None was clearer than a recent TikTok video posted by a Malaysian mother named Iera to her account @iera_shac of her husband and young son. In the video, Iera shared an evening she spent with the two men in her life at a restaurant somewhere in Kluang, Johor. At the beginning of the clip, all seemed to be normal as her toddler son Darwish wore an adorable dinosaur onesie while sitting at a table.
It was not until the camera panned over did Iera show that her husband was in an adult-sized matching version of the same dinosaur onesie.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Iera stated that on their way out for the evening, Darwish expressed his intention to wear a dinosaur onesie, though he was hesitant and shy to do so. Coaxing his dad into joining him, the toddler eventually convinced his old man to wear his dinosaur onesie as well, so he’d feel more confident in public.
“It was so cute. But normally, his daddy will be the one to buy matching clothes for himself and Darwish. I purchased the onesie a while back, but my husband quietly bought a version for himself also. Just so happened that Darwish asked to match this time,” said Iera to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Garnering a massive response online, many Malaysians commented under the post to say how heart-warming this instance was, with one user mentioning how she’d like a refund on her partner if he isn’t like this with their child. On the other hand, one man also stated how he’d want to do the same with his future kids as well.
In a funny twist, another user spoke on an instance in the past where her entire family wore matching outfits for an event.
“We wore the same thing for a family day dinner. The whole restaurant was looking at us! We did feel shy but at least we were all feeling it together,” wrote the user.
Nevertheless, multiple people also threw some funny gests in the comments section, jokingly saying how it must have been the father’s idea to wear matching outfits instead of Darwish.
