He was dragged about 40 metres

At the time of the incident, the victim was said to be riding from Janda Baik around 7 PM on Monday (15 September) to meet his fiancée in Felda Purun, according to Sinar Harian.

The crash, which involved three vehicles, happened around 7:45 AM when the victim was reportedly dragged about 40 metres after colliding with a four-wheel-drive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the drivers of the other two vehicles, aged 23 and 26, escaped unharmed.

The victim lost control of his motorcycle

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim, who was riding alone, was on his way from Bera to Mayam when the accident happened.

“When he reached the spot, he lost control of his motorcycle and veered into the opposite lane, colliding with a Mitsubishi Triton driven by a 26-year-old contractor. The crash left him with serious injuries to his head, arms, and legs, and he was pronounced dead at the scene,” Zulkiflee said.

He added that an Isuzu D-Max was also caught up in the accident after its tyre burst from hitting debris from the victim’s motorcycle.

The victim’s body was sent to Bera Hospital for a post-mortem, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
