Losing a gift from a special person can be heartbreaking, especially if’s the last gift from that someone, regardless of the item.

Just recently, a Malaysian, Tuah Lim shared on his Facebook about a piece of RM50 banknote that he found. There’s something special about the banknote that Tuah was really hoping the owner can “reunite” with it.

“The last money from late dad. November 5, 2020. Prayers to dad.”

Nearly 4 years later, a complete stranger found the money. Was fate arranging a “reunion” for the owner of the banknote?

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Tuah said that he got the money from an ATM at a gas station in Jalan Gambang, Kuantan on Monday (February 19).

Yesterday, (February 23), Tuah updated his FB and said the owner of the banknote had finally contacted him, and he would be giving back the money to whom it belongs. He also thanked the netizens who had helped in locating the owner.

“I had to use the money because I was desperate”

A 25-year-old girl, Hidayah, who is from Kemaman, Terengganu “reunited” with her banknote, which was the last gift from her late dad.

According to her, her father passed away due to a kidney-related health issue. As for the money, Hidayah revealed that she had no choice but to use the money back then as she was desperate.

“That was the only money I had left in my bag, and the ATM was too far. I told myself, someday I’ll find the money back.”

Hidayah was right. The wait was perhaps longer than she expected, but she managed to get back her dad’s last gift.

It’s fascinating to know what fate has in store for us, sometimes. We’re glad to know Hidayah managed to secure what is perhaps the most precious gift in her life.
