With the scorching weather making us feel like we’re in a hot oven, we cannot thank the presence of air conditioners enough. A fan might do the trick but not all the time, and we cannot imagine how uncomfortable it can be without the help of AC.

As comfortable as it can be, don’t forget the electricity bill! In a viral Facebook post by a Malaysian woman Rose Tiara, she expressed her SHOCK to see the electricity bill for April – a whopping RM2,072.73!

Rose admitted to having turned on the AC for ALMOST 24 hours every day, all thanks to the hot weather, with the temperature set at 16C because Rose wanted it as cold as possible.

“Don’t tell me to set the temperature to between 24C and 26C, because I won’t. I’ll still set it to 16C because I want to feel cold and comfortable!”

As for the shocking electricity bill, Rose dubbed it “more expensive than her house loan”.

And it wasn’t only RM2,072 but Rose is expected to pay RM5,831.75 before 14 May. This is due to the outstanding payment that she has, which amounted to RM3,759.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Rose said that she did not expect her post to go viral and she was not complaining about the bill but merely explaining her shock.

“I am not pointing fingers at anyone. Regardless of the amount, I will still do my due diligence and pay the bill.”

Rose also told WORLD OF BUZZ that it was the 1st time for her electricity bill to exceed RM2,000.

“The highest I had to pay was RM1,600.”

To reduce the electricity bill, Rose has resorted to installing solar energy.

Well, as long as you can afford and are willing to pay the bill, why not? To those who cannot survive with the AC, how long do you keep it on, especially when the hot weather is not showing any mercy?
