Despite receiving a marriage proposal, a Malaysian woman didn’t feel the happiness she expected. However, she has yet to completely reject the offer to tie the knot.

The woman told her boyfriend that she isn’t ready to take the relationship to the next level and asked for some time to think about it. Here’s why.

She feels her boyfriend is “too poor for his age” as he only earns RM8,000 a month, while she makes a mere RM2,000 at her job.

According to her, the man has two car loans, one for himself and another for her. With these commitments, the woman expressed concerns about the future, fearing that he may not be able to afford a housing loan or buy luxury handbags for her.

“I feel he’s useless.”

While her family genuinely wants her to marry the man, she and her peers don’t think it’s a good idea. They believe he isn’t “good and rich enough,” despite how well he treats her and her family. In her anonymous and unresolved dilemma comes another twist:

A richer man is trying to woo her.

She admitted that the other option is, without a doubt, more financially secure and could give her whatever she wants. However, she harbors no romantic feelings toward him.

“My boyfriend is poor, but he treats me well. The other man is rich, but I have no feelings for him.”

She also revealed that her brother had debts, and her boyfriend was the one who helped settle them.

“Should I marry my boyfriend, or should I accept the rich man? Come to think of it, should I appreciate my boyfriend, who isn’t rich but treats me well?”
