A woman is alleging that a politician has requested to take back the aid he provided her mother after finding out that her mother had joined another political party.

The woman, Nur Asmira Fazeira, took to her Threads account to share how her mother received a call from the politician’s political party, informing her that they intended to take back the aid he provided her when her house had once burned down, because she started working for a different political party.

Nur Asmira wrote, “Today, my mother received a call to let her know that the aid, in the form of a fridge and rubber mats, that was provided to her when her house burned down, they wanted to take it back. I was so shocked that I was speechless for a little while. My mother told me that “It’s because I’m not part of the political party that provided the aid.”

“Do you only provide aid to those in your party?”

She explained that in October 2024, her mother’s house had caught on fire due to a short circuit incident. Soon after, a politician appeared to provide aid.

“There was one political party that received information (on the fire) from his party members. After that, he showed up to send aid in the form of a fridge and rubber mats,”

“This year, in May, he informed that he wants to come and take back the aid that he provided because in early May, my mother was chosen to be part of the bureau for another political party. So, in providing aid, do you only choose those from your party?”

Nur Asmira’s mother ultimately told the politician to go ahead, but insisted that the politician who provided it be the person to visit her home and take back the aid.

“When he provided the aid, he recorded it. So, when he comes to take back the aid, we also want to record it. Now, he is quiet. But, if he really shows up, we’ll make it go viral later,” she added.
