Sometimes in life, we let the slightest things inconvenience us – but not this man!

Mohamad Azfar Mohd Yusuf, 31, is a disabled man but that never stopped him from doing anything that he is interested in, reported Sinar.

Mohamad Azfar has been learning the Quran since he was young, and he says back then, he was not very good with reading the Quran but after a few religious teachers came over to his house for one-on-one sessions, it fuelled his desire to be a religious teacher as well!

He said:

“I started teaching the Quran to 10 kids back in 2005 and it makes me happy that I can spread my knowledge on the Quran!”

To keep the children motivated, he says that he appreciates them and gives them little presents such as toys, reading materials or ice-cream. He further explains:

“With this, it’s easier to gain their attention and also make them listen to instructions as I cannot move.”

He says that he always asks for help from his older students to help control the younger ones so that they stay quiet and pay attention.

He’s also very thankful that parents find him trustworthy enough to send their children to his classes and with this, he feels like he is contributing to the society in his own little way.

As Mohamad Azfar has about 42 students from ages 5-17,  he has different time slots on different days. Other than that, he also receives calls in addition to WhatsApp messages from adults who have trouble reading the Quran.

He says:

“I hope that my hard work will be able to inspire everyone to gain knowledge and in reading the Quran.”

That is certainly a very inspiring story and certainly very motivating! Kudos to you Mohamad Azfar!
