This is a reminder as to why we should watch what we say online and on social media because for whatever dissatisfaction we have against our government, they are still the authorities.

For example, a Malaysian woman decided to take to the comment section of a Facebook posting to talk smack about our prime minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and went on to say some pretty disrespectful things about Malay people.

She was later arrested for her words, as according to our boys in blue, the Polis Diraja Malaysia.

They wrote, “MEDIA STATEMENT by the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, the development of interesting case investigations.”

The woman, who went by ‘Wendy Shoo Wai Ching’, went on a rant about how Malaysia is being ‘hijacked’ by the military in an effort to keep us inside and afraid so that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin can stay in power.

She then went on a ridiculously racist rant about how Chinese people call Malays ‘babi’ (pig in Malay) because to her, Malay people cheat them out of their businesses by not paying up their debts so that they go bankrupt.

Post 2

As according to Astro Awani, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation (JSJ) director, Datuk Huzir Mohamed has stated that her account is being investigated under Section 4 (1) (a) of the Sedition Act and Section 504 of the Penal Code, for intentionally humiliating with the intention of arousing the peace.

“Investigations are also being made under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, for improper use of network facilities or network services,” he added.

See, kids, speaking your mind without an ethics filter on can lead to some serious issues. So always be understand and respectful towards one another!

Hence, let me leave you with a piece of advice my mother gave me.

If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.
