To all the kids and teenagers of the early 2000s, hit jingles and short tunes are sounds that are permanently ingrained in our minds due to their one-of-a-kind rattles and unique catchlines. And while we all enjoyed them for what they were back in the day, we may have just unveiled the face behind some of these taglines and songs!
A recent TikTok video has been making waves online after Malaysian dentist and content creator named Shelen Wong shared a cool video to her page @shelenning. In the video, Wong bumped into a Malaysian singer named Atilia Haron – who also happens to be the voice behind some classic Malaysian jingles.
Taking the time to ask the singer about a few of them, Atilia proceeded to briefly sing snippets from the jingles belonging to multiple Malaysian brands, including Paddle Pop, Malaysia Truly Asia, and the hotline number for Pizza Hut.
“Paddle Pop, Paddle Pop, it’s super duper yummy!” sang Atilia while playfully walking with Wong in the video.
Entertaining even those around them, multiple people in the background of the video can be seen smiling away at Atilia as she sang.
Giving viewers a blast of nostalgia, many users commented on how these jingles brought back so many memories for them from their younger days, while some people said that they practically grew up with these jingles.
“Oh my gosh, I miss all of these! Used to sing that Pizza Hut song for my school chorus and all,” commented one user.
