A Malaysian father recently went viral after leaving his child for two hours at an indoor playground of a mall in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, while allegedly cheating on his wife.

After the story circulated online, an employee of an indoor playground spilt some secrets, saying that it is not uncommon for parents to leave their children unattended, and expect the employees to look after the kids.

“Some kids urinated, others almost went missing, but not all parents cared”

The employee, Camy, said that in many instances, the kids tend to run out of the playground when the gates are opened, which is a major concern for their safety. As for the parents, Camy said many of them spent hours shopping in the area.

Camy also said that she was shocked to learn the responses of many parents after finding out that their kids ALMOST went missing.

“They do this at home, too. They climbed around,” one of the parents chuckled.

In her viral Threads post, Camy also said that there are cases where the children urinated inside the playground, and when she called the parents to handle the matter, many of them did not pick up.

Camy had no choice but to bring the kids to clean up at the washroom, despite the lack of manpower at the playground.

Camy added that, as per the rules of her workplace, kids who are below 5 years old must not be left alone by their parents. Sadly, some parents expected the workers to take over the parental responsibilities for a few hours.

“Sometimes, when something happened to their children, the parents had the audacity to scold us. At other times, when the parents had been away for too long, the kids would come to us and tell us that they were hungry. They were not my kids, but I feel a strong sympathy towards them,” Camy revealed.

Camy added that these frequently happen, but are not talked about a lot online.
