The birthday cake exchange is an annual tradition between JIM and ICA

This wholesome interaction is actually a tradition between both countries’ immigration departments during their counterpart’s Independence Day celebrations.

Last year, JIM sent a red and white-themed birthday cake to ICA on 9 August for Singapore’s National Day, while on 31 August, ICA sent a blue, white and red-themed birthday cake to JIM for Malaysia’s Merdeka Day.

Awesome! We hope that the camaraderie between both immigration departments, as well as between Malaysia and Singapore in general perseveres and grows stronger.
