Birthday parties for your loved one, family members, and even friends are always well-planned, and we make sure they can have the best time of their lives during the celebration. But what about those who are merely a colleague… those who are not THAT close to you?

Just recently, Tune Talk shared a video on their TikTok page and showed how they managed to surprise the security guard for a birthday celebration which brought him to tears. While many will not bat an eye on the security guard at their place, employees at Tune Talk made it clear that the man is not just someone who takes care of the safety of the place. To them, it is someone important.

The guard was called into the office and he was too stunned to speak when everyone started singing the birthday song to him while everyone surrounded the area to watch. Near the end of the song, the security guard humbly bowed down to everyone as a token of appreciation.

“My first birthday after 8 years here in Malaysia”

The guard teared up immediately after the birthday song ended, and there’s a reason why he was so touched by the kind gesture. According to him, it was his first birthday celebration in the past 8 years since he came to Malaysia.

Another kind employee then handed the man a tissue to wipe his tears. The kind gesture did not only touch him but it certainly made the day memorable for him.

To think how he left his family in his homeland just to earn a living abroad is heartbreaking enough. No one, except the man himself understands the pain to miss his family. Fortunately, he was employed at the right place and it’s heartwarming to see how he’s surrounded by kind and generous people at the workplace.

“He must have felt appreciated”

Malaysians were quick to praise the employees of Tune Talk for their thoughtful gesture, and many thanked them for appreciating those who are often ignored and giving them a sense of belonging.

Security guards deserved respect and gratitude for their work in keeping the place safe, and we’re truly happy to see this man getting the love he deserves.
