Danger is inevitable. We take every precaution to keep ourselves safe, but sometimes life has different ideas. Sometimes accidents happen, especially with kids, and we as adults have to take the responsibility to educate them on what’s dangerous and what’s okay.

An 11-year-old fell from the balcony of his second-floor apartment and is currently in a coma. This tragic incident happened at Kuarters Bomba Pangsapuri Setia Wira, Taman Perai Utama, Bukit Mertajam last Wednesday, 29th November 2019. The boy was locked out of his house and attempted to enter the kitchen through the balcony but unfortunately, he slipped.

The boy returned home after school and realised that he had forgotten his keys, but no one was at home that time. His mother left at 9.30 am for her job as a cashier while his step-father had gone to the nearby surau for a programme. The boy is currently in the Penang Hospital and as of 6.30 pm yesterday, the boy, unfortunately, is still unconscious.

There’s a lot that can be said but the best we can do now is hope the boy has a speedy recovers and wakes up from his coma.
