Let’s be honest, no one likes those who ‘chup‘ parking by standing in the spot. But, this behaviour seems frequent in Malaysia.
So, what do you do when you stumble upon a person standing in a parking spot and claiming it as theirs? You trick them into walking out, of course!
Netizen, ophelia.my, took to her TikTok account to showcase how a man who was ‘chupping‘ a parking space was tricked into walking away from the spot at Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur, just enough for her to slip her car in!
She wrote, “Hi everyone, ‘chup‘ parking again! At Tasik Titiwangsa! He said that he walked from far away to find a parking spot. Since when can someone find a parking spot by just walking and immediately ‘chupping‘?”
In the video, the man could be heard arguing with ophelia.my, saying that he had gone too many times around the parking lot. And then in a weird plot twist, he then accused ophelia.my of ‘chupping‘ the spot.
But, just as the man walked away from the space to argue with her at her vehicle window, she quickly drove into the parking spot.
But this caused a concern that the man would take revenge on her vehicle while she was not around.
“Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) please strengthen the punishment against those who ‘chup‘ parking spaces. Because most of the time, when we stumble upon people like this, I would leave as there is an immediate fear that my vehicle would be scratched,” she added.
