A customer accidentally scored a redline pufferfish from a local aquarium shop at a huge discount.
The shop later posted on social media looking for the man, after realising the fish had been sold at a cheaper price instead of RM1,600.

“We only received RM1.60”
In an interview with Sin Chew Daily, the shop owner said the incident happened around 2 PM last Sunday (14 September).
The owner, Jordan, added that their wireless payment speaker wasn’t working at the time of the incident.
He admitted his cashier might not have checked the payment properly and added that the customer could have also been careless by not double-checking the amount paid via eWallet.
“The customer paid using eWallet, but the speaker was out of battery, and the cashier didn’t double-check the amount. In the end, the customer walked away with the fish, and we only received RM1.60,” Jordan said.

Jordan later explained that he shared the story not to put anyone on public trial, but to track down the customer involved.
He hoped the customer would return to settle the bill. If not, the shop owner said he would have ended up giving away the “most expensive” gift of his life.
“If the customer sees this post, please reach out to us as soon as possible to pay the balance. Otherwise, that fish will go down as the most expensive gift we’ve ever given,” he said.
