Malaysian actress, Ruhainies and Singaporean actor, Aliff Aziz who were recently caught by JAWI have finally broken their silence. Late last night (March 14), both parties released official statements that conveyed the same message.
“We were supposed to have dinner with my family”
On her IG post @ruhainies7, Ruhainies said that on that fateful night, she had made plans to have dinner with her siblings. Coincidentally, Aliff was also done with his shooting that night, so Ruhainies invited him over for dinner.
“We’ve been close friends for 10 years, and he knows my siblings. A few other friends were supposed to come too.”
However, one of Ruhainies’ siblings, Risteena told her that everyone would be late due to the traffic.
“So, Aliff and I went up 1st & we talked while waiting for my siblings.”
During their conversation, there was a knock on the door and Ruhainies thought it was her siblings. But when she heard a man’s voice outside the door, she hesitated to open the door in fear for her safety. Ruhainies then immediately called her sister and asked her to come quickly, and verify the identities of the men out there.
“She told me it was JAWI and the police out there.”
Her siblings then told the authorities that they were supposed to be there for dinner but couldn’t make it on time. Regardless, the authorities had to bring them in for investigation as per the procedures.
“I don’t want Aliff and Bella to part ways”
Both Aliff and Ruhainies insisted that whatever happened in the condo was nothing more than a conversation. Regardless, they were still happy to cooperate with the authorities.
Ruhainies, who has also been a close friend to Aliff’s wife, Bella Astillah, said that she never wanted for the married pair to part ways.
“I appreciate my friendship with Bella, and I don’t want her to part ways with Aliff. I’m willing to talk to her, whenever she’s ready.”
Ruhainies also explained the delay in her statement, saying that she had been caught up in shootings, and needed a clear space and mind to convey her message.
