As of today, there are a total of 24 imported new cases and 8 local new cases of Covid-19 in the island nation, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Health in Singapore, totalling 345 cases.

According to a tweet by their MOH, one of the imported cases is a Malaysian man, aged 25, who has a working permit in Singapore. He was diagnosed on Wednesday (18th March) and has been currently placed in an isolation ward at Changi Besar Hospital.

The balance of the imported cases are long-term working pass holders that hold a history of traveling to places like Europe, South America and ASEAN countries. In brighter, happier news, the country has further cured and discharged 7 more cases, bringing the number of now-healthy-again cases up to 124.

The ministry also noted that the remaining 221 cases are being dealt with accordingly, and they’re stable and on the road to recovery. However, there are about 15 cases that are held up in the ICU. Besides that, all 6,574 close contacts of the patients have been quarantined for safety precautions and any visitor entering Singapore from any country is to be quarantined for 14 days.
