MOH Considering Giving Vaccine Priority To Those Who Donated Blood More Than 50 Times
Are you constantly donating blood? Well, looks like there might be some good news in the pipeline for superheroes like you. The Ministry of Health (MOH) will consider a proposal to give priority to blood donors who have donated more than 50 times for the second phase of the National Covid-19 Immunization Program.
As reported by Bernama, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said that the MOH would take the proposal to the Jawatankuasa Khas Jaminan Akses Bekalan Vaksin (JKJAV). He said,
“It is a good proposal and an incentive for blood donors in Malaysia.”
The National Blood Centre will continue its operations until night time during the fasting month to allow Muslims to donate blood after breaking their fast. There is a constant need for blood in hospitals. Hence, the public is encouraged to visit their nearest hospitals or any blood donation drive to donate blood and ensure that the country has enough blood to be used by those in need.
