If there is one thing that keeps tourists coming back to Malaysia, we can confidently (and proudly) say it’s because of the food here!

Veteran Hong Kong actor, Hugo Ng loves Malaysian food so much that he decided to run a modern Kopitiam, which opened its door last year at Eko Cheras Mall. Just recently, a viral video shows Hugo guiding a fellow Hongkies on how to eat Malaysian food the proper way – soft-boiled eggs.

The food is “heaven” when paired with crunchy toast, and it’s truly one of Malaysians’ favourites not only for breakfast but anytime we feel like having it!

In the video which was shared on the Facebook page Tvb资讯分享站, Hugo breaks eggs into the bowl before mixing it with soy sauce and white pepper. He stirred it a little before passing the bowl of soft-boiled eggs to his friend, and assured him,

“Just mix everything together, and you can eat it just like that.”

Hugo did mention in the video that it’s best paired with a toast, and he seemed to know his way around the food. He prepared and described like a local!

Malaysian netizens, on the other hand, were impressed to see how Hugo “moves” like a local, and many others also took the opportunity to express their love for the meal.

“The best breakfast, but too bad they didn’t have toasts with them.”

“The happiest breakfast we could ever have,” said a user.

“Good for him, he’s adapting the way here.”

If you were to introduce someone to one of our local cuisine, which would it be?
