A Malaysian father is seeking help from the public to look for his 15-year-old son who recently went missing in Shah Alam.

According to the CCTV footage outside his house, the father, Mohammad Sahrulnizam Mohammad Zain said his son was seen leaving the house with his bag around 6:23 AM on Tuesday (December 10).

His son, Muhammad Syahir left the gate unlocked but Sahrulnizam thought his son was leaving for school.

Syahir never returned home.

Sahrulnizam contacted the bus driver to ask about his son but the worried father was shocked to learn that his son never made it to school that day.

On the same evening, Sahrulnizam received a voice note on WhatsApp from his son, who told him why he never returned home.

“In the voice notes, my son told me that he was dissatisfied with the situation at home, and that he was going to live with someone else out there. I don’t know who he was talking about. He said he has a new friend who understands him,” Sahrulnizam told the media.

The father also said that he knew his son met the friend online where they played PUBG and Mobile Legend. However, he has no idea about the identity of that friend.

A police report was made at the Alam Impian Police Station on the same night around 7:32 PM.

“I have never abandoned my responsibilities as a father. I am worried about him,” Sharulnizam added.

You can watch the CCTV footage here, which was shared on the X page of Malaysia Gazette.

Regardless, we hope Sharulnizam will be reunited with his son soon.
