If you’re a frequent KTMB user, you’ve definitely noticed a specific coach reserved only for the ladies. The Ladies’ Coach has a pink logo on display and is usually located in the middle of a train set. It is clearly stated that the coach is strictly not for men.
Unfortunately, some men still do not seem to get the message where recently a Malaysian by the name of Dash has taken to her TikTok account and expressed her annoyance with some men who casually sat in the ladies’ coach during the train ride.
In her caption, she urged the people to read and understand the sign for the ladies’ coach as it was already provided in two languages.
‘Ladies’ coach is there for a reason – so that women can travel safe without any worries.’
WORLD OF BUZZ reached out to Dash and she told us that it happened recently when she was on the way back from her hometown in Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor.
‘This is not the first time I’ve seen men in the ladies’ coach,’ Dash added.
She also told WORLD OF BUZZ that she had politely reminded the men in the ladies’ coach where she received two entirely different reactions.
Some people apologised and even thanked her for the reminder before leaving for another coach, while others were not so fond of her reminder.
‘The youngsters mostly ignored me. They eventually moved to somewhere else but during my ride, both of the coaches for the ladies were filled with men,’ Dash said.
Eventually, Dash decided to record the incident in hopes that it will reach the attention of KTMB. When she got down at her station, she told one of the staff at the counter about her experience and urged them to take immediate action.
Dash told WORLD OF BUZZ that she understands some people may have overlooked the sign for the ladies’ coach. She also understands that some foreigners may have trouble reading and understanding the sign.
‘I understand that some of them may not be able to read, but can’t they grasp the logo which clearly indicates the coach is strictly for ladies only?’
We do hope that KTMB will look further into the matter but in the meantime, we certainly hope that all train users will abide by the rules for the sake of everyone’s convenience.
Fellow ladies, if you have taken some rides with KTMB, have you seen any men casually sitting in the ladies’ coach? Would you have reminded them about it?
