One of the suspects is still on the run

Ipoh police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said that while they were cutting the cables, one of them exploded, knocking both suspects unconscious.

The first suspect tragically died from electrocution, as reported by Berita Harian, while the second suspect later regained consciousness and fled on a Honda C100 motorcycle.

A quick background check found that the deceased had 10 previous records for violent and property crimes.
