What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!

This is the story about how a woman who faced the greatest adversity anyone can face but managed to get back up and achieve her goals.

Dr. Nor Farhana told Harian Metro that it wasn’t easy for her to complete her post-graduate studies in Applied Sciences at UITM Shah Alam after it had dragged on for many years.

She shared,

“I admit that I have gone through a lot through these 8 years. I got married, worked, had my first child, lost my first child and got another child.”

“But the worst hardship that I’ve ever been through is when I lost my first child last June, she was only 4 months old, and she passed on suddenly because she choked on milk in the nursery.”

She added,

“I almost gave up there and then and I couldn’t focus on continuing my studies because I miss her too much.”

However, because of her supportive husband and family, she was able to steel herself up to finish her studies. She confirmed that it is true that when people were finally able to move on from an obstacle in life, Allah gives them a bigger blessing.

She gave birth to her second child, who is currently 2 months old, and her husband is in Germany now continuing his post-graduate studies.

Dr. Farhana would also like to thank her supervisor who gave her continuous support for her thesis. She recounted,

“There was even once where my supervisor came to my workplace to persuade me to finish my thesis on plastic composites.”

After talking it out with her husband, she was determined to finish it. When she was lazy and almost gave up, her husband would give her massages and bring her out on walks.

She says,

“This Dr. title is for my husband and also family who spent a lot on money for me.”

Awwww, that’s such an inspiring story! We hope that you’ll continue to do great things, Dr. Farhana!
