Most of the time, we regard our home as the safest place but in some situations, they are quite dangerous as well.
On 8 November, a Malaysian had his car on his porch as he had to do some cleaning in the car. The gates were open as the porch was not big enough for the car.
In a CCTV footage, we can see the man cleaning the front part of his car and another man walking past his house. The man outside seemed to be looking for something and he came inside the house.
After doing some surveying, he went into the house while the homeowner was still very preoccupied with cleaning. After a while, the homeowner came out of the car and saw that there was a stranger in his living room. He then shouted,
“What are you doing, huh?!”
And smacked the man on his back, but the thief managed to run away.
In his Facebook post, he mentioned that he only found out the thief had stolen his RM7,000 phone after checking through his CCTVs.
The victim then lodged a police report at a nearby police station in Ampang. He also did a search for his phone but the phone’s last location is in Kota Raya.
He blames himself for being careless and advises everyone to be extra vigilant.
“Even if you are home or not home, please lock your doors.”
To think that the whole thing happened in under 1 minute is certainly very scary! We hope that you guys will heed this Malaysian’s advice.
