There have always been cases where Malaysians would bring their pets to places they shouldn’t.

But it appears that this isn’t one of those cases.

A Malaysian recently shared a post to the Penang Kini Facebook page, where they condemned a duo for bringing their 3 pet dogs to play in the water at the beach in Tanjung Bunga, Penang.

They wrote, “3 dogs were bathed at the beach in the Tanjung Bunga area. These dogs should not be bathed at the beach because we are not sure what diseases they carry, and many visitors tend to bathe in these waters, including our Muslim friends. I’m worried that faeces will also be scattered everywhere.”

“I think this matter should be shared in Penang Kini as a reminder of civic awareness for all. I have also filed a complaint with MBPP (Penang Island City Council).”

Do the dogs’ owners deserve to be condemned? Netizens say no!

However, many are in support of the duo and their pet dogs, as they believe dogs are also God’s creations that deserve to enjoy being alive.

“So, what’s the issue? After all, the sea is so vast and is always flowing. All this time, drain water and dirty river water have been flowing to the sea, and no one has questioned it.”

“Think kindly of all creatures. Trust that Allah’s creations are not in vain. All creatures have the right to enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of the world He created.”

“Why is your mindset so shallow?”
