Please take extra precaution if you decide to pull over on the highway.

On 14 October, a man who stopped by the side of the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) was shockingly hit by a lorry and subsequently flew over the bridge. This accident took place in the wee hours at the 14.5km mark of the highway.

According to Oriental Daily, the motorcyclist was on his way home at 2.30am when he witnessed an accident ahead. So, the young man decided to pull over by the side of the road as he wanted to assist the victims.

Suddenly, he was hit from the back by a lorry coming in fast, which threw him off the bridge. It was reported that the lorry couldn’t stop in time and knocked into the man.

“Witnesses at the scene said they saw the victim went airborne after getting hit, and the helmet he was wearing fell off and cracked,” Petaling Jaya district police chief Mohd Zani said.

The authorities were alerted and a team of K-9 Unit was dispatched to look for the victim under the bridge. His backpack was found, however, he was nowhere to be seen. The police said only his motorbike, backpack, and helmet were found at the scene. At the time of writing, the victim has yet to be found and it is uncertain whether he is still alive.

The is a developing story. More to come.
