Just the idea of encountering a big spider or cockroach sends shivers down our spine, so imagine seeing an insect that freakishly resembles an alien!

A man from Bali, Indonesia spotted a bizarre-looking creature scuttling and wobbling around his ceiling last month.

Hari Toae was unable to identify what the creature truly is, but he jokingly referred to it as the Shadow Monster from Netflix’s Stranger Things. He also believed that it had entered his home seeking shelter from the rain.

The man said, “I will let it stay in my house, but only for one night. I don’t want it to scare my guests away.”

“It’s not something I’ve ever seen before. I don’t think it comes from this neighbourhood.”

Just looking at the way it moves makes our skin crawls. Urgh.

According to the Daily Mail, there is a possibility that it is a part of the family of moths called the Arctiinae. More specifically, it looks like a Creatonotos Gangis, which apparently is a native of South East Asia and Australia.

The species has wings and four tentacles, also known as scent organs, produces pheromones to attract mates.

However, there is no definite answer to what the creature really is. Perhaps it could be yet another species unknown to man.

Although all of us agree on how necessary evolution truly is, this, however, could be put at the very back of the list. Oh, and we’ll be right back. Just gonna shut the doors and windows tight while holding a blowtorch in our hands.
