Honestly, most of us have at least one mobile phone these days and inside these devices, you can bet that there will be plenty of our personal information stored inside. We keep it close to our side always and if it’s spoilt, we quickly send it to be repaired.

However, for this particular man in China, he tried to bribe the phone shop staff to ensure that his mobile phone remained unusable. Why though? Based on a report by Now News, a mobile phone shop in China recently received a broken device to be fixed.

They opened the phone so that they could fix it but to the surprise of the staff, they found a note inside the phone saying, “Boss, please do not fix this phone. My wife wants to check the messages inside.” To sweeten the odd request, there were two RMB100 (RM60) notes inserted with the message. A little “gift” eh?

The photo was shared by a Facebook group with the caption, “As a professional, would you choose to repair the phone or not?” with the hashtag hinting that if it were a bigger amount it would make it easier to pretend that the phone could not be saved.

Meanwhile, the original post attracted more than 8,400 comments as netizens were hotly debating this topic and a few of them said that it sounds like there was a huge story behind this intriguing note. Some of them also commented that the staff should show this note to the wife and ask her whether she wanted to make a counter offer. Sneaky!

What would you have done if you were the shop staff? Would you have helped out a bro who seemed like he’s in trouble? Of course, it’s best if you don’t hide any secrets from your significant other because it will definitely end badly!
