The world is a dangerous place and even more so when you have a defenseless child that is your responsibility. But it is all worth it, because a parent’s love knows no bounds! Recently, a netizen shared a scary incident that happened to her sister-in-law and niece, and warned other parents to be careful.

Apparently her sister-in-law had brought her baby daughter who was just a few months old to Putrajaya Hospital for a check-up but encountered an old Chinese woman who looked rather suspicious and was staring at them intently. Her sister-in-law said,

“I was feeling really uncomfortable with her stares so I got up and went to the toilet while carrying my daughter. But the old woman actually started following me to the toilet and even struck up a conversation with me, saying, “It doesn’t look convenient for you to go to the toilet while carrying your daughter. Why don’t I help you carry her first?” Of course, I said no.”

“On the way there, I suddenly felt dizzy and my limbs started to go weak. Panicking, I ran into the nursing room and told the other mothers inside to quickly lock the door because someone was following me. After resting for a while, I felt much better and quickly headed to the doctor for my baby’s check-up. Before leaving the hospital, I went to the convenience store to buy a drink contained in a glass bottle in case I needed to use it as a weapon.

You would have thought that the mother’s ordeal ended there, but it appears that the old woman is rather persistent and found them. The mother recounted her experience and reportedly said that the old woman even tried to follow them to the car and made up an excuse to snatch her daughter. She even tried to pretend that the baby was her granddaughter and accused the lady of not allowing her to see her grandchild.

Furious, she replied, “I am not your daughter! You look old enough to be my grandmother. Don’t come near us or I won’t hesitate to defend myself.”

The old lady ignored her and said, “You are not a filial daughter. You will get struck by lightning!” She then proceeded to try grabbing the baby from the mother’s arms but the mother wasn’t going to give in. She took out her glass bottle and hit the old lady, who immediately started bleeding and ran away.

The netizen ended the post with advice from her sister-in-law to always be alert and keep a close eye on the children or young relatives, because there are many heartless people nowadays.

Other users were shocked by the incident and the post went viral, with more than 5,800 shares in less than a day. They tagged their friends who are parents and cautioned them to be careful when they were out with their kids.

Look out for your little siblings, cousins, and relatives as well, especially with kidnapping cases being on the rise these days!
