New norm at another level!
A tweet went viral for the newlyweds brilliant idea before welcoming guests to their wedding and everyone is inspired to do the same!
Recent wedding in our family. Guests were all given RTK tests. To do one day before the event and to text the result. New normal. https://t.co/ZDQoWEcRSB pic.twitter.com/bwM4n3Ke5k

The tweet gained quite the attention with 2.9k retweets and 3.7k likes because of how the newlyweds were ahead of time by giving to their guests RTK self test kits before the wedding event.
Everything went well!
Talking to WORLD OF BUZZ, the bride said the self test kits were given a few days before the event as a pre-test before attending the wedding as a step of precaution.
Inviting about 120 guests, the bride sent out the self test kits through post and some even through door to door! Once completed, the guests were contacted individually to check who will be able to attend the wedding.
“Alhamdulillah, everything was okay and went well, and no positive cases were reported after the wedding”
The wedding turned out perfectly, and there were no positive cases reported!
People are loving the idea
Receiving quite an audience, many praise the organisers for thinking ahead. Not only is it a marvelous idea, but also a creative way to adapt to the new norm.
“A very reponsible organiser and host. Hopefully the guests are equally responsible”
Another Twitter user expressed their agreement towards this idea and said that it does not take up too much cost. Better safe than sorry!
One of my uncles was actually tested positive
A Twitter user explained their experience where they did something similar, but with a different outcome.
“Before the wedding, we transferred money to our uncle and asked him to buy RTK self test kit to everyone coming. And thanks to that, one of my uncles was actually tested positive for Covid and didn’t get to come to the wedding.”
If the uncle didn’t get tested, who would have known how many more would be infected and be reported as close contact.
