21 years after ending their marriage and going their separate ways, a Malaysian couple somehow found each other again and rekindled the love that was lost.

As reported by The Straits Times, 45-year-old Mohd Ezwani Ahmad Naseri and 46-year-old Hawazalina Mohd Othman recently tied the knot again after divorcing in June 2002.

Throughout the years, the duo didn’t contact each other and went on with their lives. Both remarried and have children but the unions didn’t last.

However, earlier this year when Hawazalina’s mother died, Ezwani contacted her on Facebook by leaving a message expressing his condolences for the loss.

Ezwani left the message on 22 February, 2 days after Hawazalina’s mother died after knowing about it from a mutual friend.

Hawazalina recalled,

“Initially, I could not recognise him because we’ve not seen each other for so long, and his face has changed. But, my younger sister pointed out that it is Ezwani…

“He wanted to be friends with me on Facebook and from there, we started talking and caught up on each other’s lives. He then suggested we get back together, and I agreed.”

Both Ezwani and Hawazalina have 3 children each from their previous marriage. Both their immediate family, including their respective children, accepted their decision to remarry.

Hawazalina added,

“Although we were divorced due to personal reasons, throughout our marriage, he was a good and responsible husband. I believe he is still the same man he was 21 years ago… I hope our marriage will remain until the end of our lives”

Aww! Such a heartwarming story. This just goes to show that God works in mysterious ways and that love always finds a way. Congratulations to Ezwani and Hawazalina for tying the knot <3
