If there is something that the police or any Malaysian for this matter tend to always forget is the fact that people are every ready with their cameras to record if they see something peculiar.

While stopping at the side of the road, three policemen were suspiciously taking their own sweet time reprimanding a scrap metal collector caught the attention of one Malaysian, who recorded the incident.

Shared on Facebook page 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians, here is a video of the incident.

A narrator throughout the video shared what happened between the three policemen and the motorcyclist.

He said, “You can see these three policemen are getting money from the motorcyclist. aren’t you ashamed of doing this?”

“Be it Bangladeshi, Nepali or Myanmar, anybody can ride their motorcycles without a license. so long as they can bribe their way with the police.”

“Malaysia boleh!”

The narrator ended his video by sarcastically saying “Once you have got your money, the handshaking begins. Hmmmm seronok.”

Malaysians commenting on the video were less than impressed with what they saw. Clearly perturbed, Malaysians blamed both immigrants working illegally in Malaysia and dishonest policemen for succumbing to bribery.

For a cleaner Malaysia, let’s hope that this incident will be looked into by the authorities and hopefully cases like this will not repeat itself in the future.
