Parents are often times worried about their kids playing on the road, increasing the risk of them getting run over.

But now, there’s a new fear that has been unlocked, where kids can even be run over at store fronts.

The MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL Twitter page recently shared CCTV footage of a car suddenly reversing at a high speed, only to hit a small girl playing in front of a pet store. This incident took place at Puncak Alam, Selangor.

In the video, the little girl can be seen playing at the store front while the driver of a yellow car parked directly in front of the store sits in their car with the engine on.

Then, suddenly, the car lurched backwards, hitting the little girl and slamming into the pet shop.

A woman, believed to be the girl mother, could be seen standing nearby and upon witnessing the event, panics.

Others at the scene directed the driver to move forward so that they can assist the little girl, who cannot be seen. And the video ends there.

According to a report by Kosmo, the little girl is said to be alive and receiving treatment after sustaining mild injuries from the incident.
