Since the pandemic, travelling has not been easy. There’s plenty of research needed to know the documentations required and if the vaccine you took is accepted in the particular country.

With the news of 2 Malaysians being denied entry to Germany yesterday, we came up with a list of countries that have yet to accept Sinovac so you can avoid the hassle and make sure you don’t burn those expensive flight tickets.

Here’s the list:

  1. Germany
  2. Belgium
  3. Japan
  4. France (Sinovac is accepted, but your third dose must be Moderna or Pfizer)
  5. Luxembourg
  6. Italy
  7. India
  8. Romania
  9. Poland
  10. Czechia
  11. Belarus

We want to note that there may be other countries which we’ve not include in this list.

While most countries in the world, including the UK and the US have added Sinovac in their list of approved vaccines, remember not every country has done so yet.

For instance, Japan currently only accepts Pfizer, Moderna, Astrazeneca, and most recently J&J.

So before going on a trip, make sure to go through this checklist:

  • Is my vaccine accepted in that particular country?
  • Do I need a PCR test before I fly?
  • Do I need to quarantine upon arrival?
  • Do I need to apply for a visa or submit any health declarations before flying?
  • What are the requirements when flying back to Malaysia?

As of now, flying back to Malaysia requires a PCR test at most 48 hours before your flight and the application of home quarantine. However, this may be subject to change once the border reopens on 1 April, so be sure to double check before you fly!

*Note that the list of countries may change as they adopt Sinovac in their list of approved vaccines
